Matt Hagger | Co-Founder | CEO
Matt Hagger is a serial entrepreneur and technology pioneer with a track record of innovation. At just 16, he began creating and selling games, followed by a music magazine at 18. In 2000, Matt founded E-Man and created Net Sorcerer, the world's first real-time desktop news alert platform, pre-dating RSS feeds. The platform secured a patent and a six-figure investment from Cambridge University Enterprise, providing intellectual property for Sky Sports and News Alerts. Matt was just 21.
Matt played a key role in mobile innovation as founder & CEO of Zkatter, a platform that helped Samsung launch its Bada OS. As one of the first developers to access Android's Camera API, Matt's work was pivotal in shaping early mobile photo-sharing and location-based technologies. Zkatter won Samsung's World Developer Challenge in 2010.
As the founder of E-Man, Matt scaled the venture studio internationally, creating games for Disney, Nickelodeon, and Paramount Pictures. E-Man Asset Management now manages 12 companies, with a cumulative valuation of $3B and $400M raised, starting from ideas conceived at the napkin sketch stage. Matt has consulted for major brands like Disney, 20th Century Fox, BBC, and NHS, and was named one of Growing Business Magazine's Top 30 Entrepreneurs under 35 in 2009.
Matt is also the founder of Taletree, a Palo Alto-based initiative focused on helping kids retain their creative genius by making education fun and purposeful. He believes education should empower young minds to explore their potential, a philosophy he is now bringing to EXTOA with its learn-to-earn mechanics.
A thought leader and frequent speaker at major tech conferences, Matt is passionate about EXTOA's mission to build a transparent, sustainable digital nation that empowers creators, brands, and consumers to thrive in a mixed reality.
Matt is on a mission to help children stay creative, ensuring education remains playful, and to one day contribute to the governance that establishes West Ham United as one of the top six biggest brands in world football.
